Send full size Text Messages, Photos, and Video Clips to the Tablet
Family members can send text messages and photos directly to the tablet, ensuring that the older adult is always kept in the loop. Received photos are added to the photo gallery, which transforms into a smart slideshow when the tablet is idle, doubling as a thoughtful smart photo frame.
Smart Photo Frame
When the tablet is idle, it now doubles as a smart photo frame, showcasing pictures that have been sent by family members. The older adult can manually flip through photos, or allow the tablet to automatically cycle through them, creating an engaging slideshow.
Reminders and Video Check-ins
Display text notifications for medications, appointments, or other events, set up by the Caregiver. Additionally, the older adult can record video messages to check in with family members. Caregivers can schedule specific times for these check-ins as part of the Routines feature.

Invite all those important to your loved one to join in, no matter where they live, by adding them to the Favorites list using the ONSCREEN Family App. Invite family, friends, caregivers, and even doctors! Once added they get an invite to join. Don’t worry…you can set ONSCREEN to accept calls only during specific hours to avoid surprises. Best of all -- it's all included!

How do I get the ONSCREEN JoyTablet app?
Start with the tablet your loved one will use.
First, install JoyTablet on the iPad or Android tablet that will stay with your mom, dad, or loved one.
Not on your own phone.
Once JoyTablet is set up on their tablet, you’ll install the ONSCREEN Family app on your own phone. That’s the app you’ll use to call them, send photos and messages, and manage their JoyTablet.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why are there 2 different apps? The ONSCREEN Joy app is loaded onto a senior's tablet. The ONSCREEN Family app is loaded onto the phone or tablet devices of family members that are in the senior's circle, and want to be able to call, text and engage with the senior. Each app serves a different purpose.
- Does it work on Android? Yes, you can use Android Tablets (Samsung, Google, etc) or iPads for the senior tablet.
- My older loved one gets confused and lost on her tablet, how is this any different? The Joy app essentially becomes a new home screen for the tablet, keeping only the most important things in view. Reminders show up effortlessly and they never have to seek them out. In addition, we provide instructions on how to secure the tablet so that the can't get confused and go into other apps or settings.
- How old can the tablet be? The tablet should have at least iOS 15, and Android 12 on it. If it can support those operating systems, then it should work fine.
- How will I be billed? You will be billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, after your initial 14-day trial.
- What if we try it and it's not for my loved one? Simply cancel your subscription any time during your 14-day trial to avoid being charged after the trial ends.
- How do I cancel the subscription? Use your mobile device's subscription management feature to cancel.
