Share
We’re proud to announce a major milestone in our journey to transform senior care and support communities nationwide: ONSCREEN has been selected as one of only six companies to join the Futures Fund Community Health Incubator by Volunteers of America (VOA)—with support from The Humana Foundation and powered by SEED SPOT.
This exciting news validates the hard work and vision our team has poured into creating technology that makes a tangible difference. At ONSCREEN, our mission has always centered around building accessible, impactful technology that promotes connection, wellness, and independence for older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers. We believe that meaningful innovation should reach every household, particularly those who are often left out of the digital conversation.
A Highly Selective Opportunity
ONSCREEN was selected from a pool of over 480 applicants, highlighting the importance of our mission and the innovation behind our platform. Being 1 of just 6 companies chosen for this program speaks to the real and growing need for solutions like ONSCREEN in the community health space. The fact that our solution stood out among such a competitive and diverse group of applicants reinforces that we’re addressing a significant and timely challenge.
As a part of this cohort, we are not only gaining access to resources—we're also joining a powerful network of innovators, healthcare professionals, and impact-driven organizations that share our passion for solving complex problems in vulnerable communities.
From CES Win to the Incubator
Our journey to the Futures Fund began at CES 2025, where we were honored to win the CTA Foundation Innovation Challenge. It was at CES that we connected with the VOA team and had the opportunity to showcase how our AgeTech platform can support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). That moment laid the foundation for an inspiring partnership. Read more about our CES win here.
The recognition we received at CES not only opened doors—it also underscored the power of technology to improve lives beyond entertainment or convenience. It showed that with thoughtful design and intentional outreach, we can deliver solutions that truly serve people who have been historically underserved.
About the Futures Fund Community Health Incubator
Launched in 2022, the Community Health Incubator is a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurship program led by Volunteers of America, one of the nation's largest and most experienced nonprofit health and housing organizations. With strategic backing from The Humana Foundation and the accelerator expertise of SEED SPOT, the program is designed to propel social enterprises that address the needs of Medicaid and at-risk populations.
As part of this initiative, ONSCREEN will receive:
- Expert mentorship from healthcare, social impact, and business leaders
- Opportunities for partnerships with mission-aligned organizations and community-based groups
- Access to funding and strategic resources to scale our solutions and deepen our impact across the country
This unique combination of support allows mission-driven companies like ours to grow in a way that’s sustainable, effective, and aligned with the needs of real people.
A Broader Commitment to Community Health
This opportunity enables us to broaden our reach, especially in underserved communities where isolation, limited access to care, and caregiver burnout are significant challenges. Through the Incubator, we aim to bring our technology to even more households—ensuring that older adults and people with disabilities can stay connected, supported, and safe.
We are especially excited to deepen our service to the disabled community, including those living with IDD, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s Disease, and other chronic conditions. From auto-answering video calls & telehealth visits on a TV to AI-powered wellness check-ins, ONSCREEN makes care more accessible—without the need for technical skills or abilities.
As part of this incubator, we’re also thrilled to collaborate with Humana, a leading healthcare provider, to explore how ONSCREEN can benefit their member base. This includes:
- Supporting family caregivers who are juggling work and care responsibilities—many of whom are at risk of burnout and leaving the workforce.
- Enhancing long-term care support for individuals with chronic health conditions, who benefit from consistent communication, monitoring, and emotional support.
Through this partnership, we hope to improve the lives of not just individuals, but entire families. When caregivers feel supported, they are better able to support their loved ones.
Looking Ahead
With ONSCREEN, we’re proving that simple, human connection—whether through a video call on the TV, a wellness check-in, or a conversation with our AI companion Joy—can make a world of difference. Our technology is not just functional; it's deeply personal, built with empathy and respect for the unique challenges of aging and disability.
We are incredibly grateful to VOA, The Humana Foundation, and SEED SPOT for believing in our mission and investing in our growth. This collaboration marks a new chapter for ONSCREEN, one where we’re even better equipped to deliver care, connection, and compassion to those who need it most.
Stay tuned as we share more about our journey in the Incubator—and what’s coming next for ONSCREEN!
